Half day care
Half day care in the Centre involves persons with intellectual disabilities and multiple disorders. This programme consolidates the acquired skills and also develops new ones.
The programme consists of the following units:
THE DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS
Verbal and non-verbal communication, encouraging speech development, the improvement of vocabulary, etc.
Encouraging the freedom of the right to choose, counselling
THE DEVELOPMENT AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF SOCIAL CONTACTS
The acceptance of authority, the development of altruism, independence, assistance and friendship
SOCIAL INTERACTION
The development of readiness to ask for help of the people in close vicinity; the help to maintain, develop and improve social contacts
ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING
Developing the skills and habits necessary in everyday living (development and maintenance of personal hygiene, appearance and tidiness, dressing up and maintaining clothes, preparing and eating food, maintenance of the living and working environment, ways of communication. organizing of free time)
FREE TIME / LEISURE
Relaxation exercises, social games, walks, listening to music, etc.
HORTICULTURAL THERAPY / GARDENING
Clients develop working habits, feelings of caring for other living creatures, they learn new knowledge and skills, improve sensory and motor skills through gardening activities and taking care of plants.
