Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback According to the Othmer Method
What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback according to the Othmer method is a non-invasive therapy that utilizes brainwave training to achieve physiological self-regulation of the brain. This method allows individuals to learn how to optimize their brain activity through feedback in the form of visual and auditory stimuli. Just as a ballerina corrects her posture when she looks in the mirror, our brain can also learn what to "correct" when its activity is reflected back to it. Through Neurofeedback, a person learns how to improve dysregulation and achieve greater nervous system functionality.
How is it conducted?
Neurofeedback therapy uses sensors (small electrodes) attached to the scalp with EEG paste to record brain activity. These sensors do not send any electrical current to the brain but only monitor its waves. A computer processes these waves and provides feedback on the individual's mental state. Based on this information, the user receives auditory or visual stimuli on a screen, helping them self-regulate and improve their brain activity.
Who is Neurofeedback intended for?
Neurofeedback is beneficial for all age groups and is used to address various mental and emotional challenges, including:
-
Attention and concentration disorders
-
Learning difficulties
-
Speech and language disorders
-
ADHD
-
Socio-emotional difficulties
-
Emotional self-regulation
-
Sleep problems
-
Anxiety disorders
-
Headaches and migraines
-
Stress
-
Achieving peak performance
Duration of Therapy
One cycle of Neurofeedback therapy consists of 20 sessions, with each session lasting between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the protocol. For optimal results, it is recommended to undergo therapy twice a week.
